EAS sensor shaft

Bit of a heart stopping moment this evening.
After helping my work mate jumpstart his van, unsuccessfully, I drive home for the charger.
After arriving home ....eas on dash shows up....
Clear fault and go back to my mate and his van and....yes you got it ...eas and max 30mph pops up.
Heart stops thinking I know these FF are a bit sensitive but thinking the worst....
Well rethink what happened, looked under the FF and one broken shaft on the sensor..

Happy days...sort of.

Question, is the shaft a replaceable item or is it a new sensor. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Microcat doesn't show that the link rod is available by itself, only as part of a sensor.

If you are into mend and make do, you could screw a strip of flat bar to each side (two screws each side), if possible. Would keep you on the road.... (sometimes these fixes last for much longer than you expect) .

Ah, it is that end, a little more tricky to fix (was hoping it was the plastic arm Wink )

If the locating rubber end is still in fairly good condition, a good clean up, lots of glue and tape should get you back on the road .

Quick temporary fix, hopefully it will do the job until I have spare time and day off work.
Now I'm wondering if a cheap sensor off eBay and use the rod only.
Nothing really wrong with the sensor to be fair. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!
