Gents,
Searching has failed to find a simple step by step guide to updating the software on the GAP iid.
The manual is not helping me much, so , has anyone done it recently and able to point me in the right direction?
I have been secretly hoping that Greg would post that he has updated his because I know his is same vintage as mine, but I would really like to get mine done to show oil contamination levels.
Any tips and help appreciated.

download and install the GAP Updater program and connect the IIDTool via USB. The Updater program automatically connects to our database and provides options when a new FW is available. Make the choice and click. With good internet connectivity the IIDTool is ready to go in 2 to 3 minutes.  ... - .- -.

I am going to have to try and kick my old laptop back into life.
I haven’t used it for quite a while, having bought an iPad mini , which I find meets most of my needs.
