Not sure which bit you mean - inside or outside? |

Think its wedged under the glass so best left alone.

The newer cars still don't have it. They stopped using it during 08MY. Now they just have a very thin plastic, just to give it a better looking finish.

I tapped mine with a rubber mallet - went right back. It moved out, so it has to move back...

this trim can be removed. just lever out one end and pull. i removed mine to paint the tailgate then pushed it back in. i put some washing up liquid on it to help it slide back under. |

Easy done, I removed mine as soon as i got the car. Tapped mine sideways using a piece of wood to keep the hammer away from the glass. Lots of wd40 or simmilar. Probably could be tapped downward but I was concerned of the glass. Dont replace it, its much better without 2007 TDV8 VSE

Done. It took a bit of persuading but once it started to move, it moved relatively easily. When there was about 200mm protruding, I was able to grip it by hand and pull it out.
