Engine oil preferences .... Sorry !

Hi !

I really apologise for asking a well worn question but what engine oils do you long tern users tend to find works best for you ?
Mines a 2012 TDV8 4.4 with 85k on it. Everything sounds sweet so want to keep it that way. Went on the Opie Oils and kits are Millers at £80 to £110 for Fuchs plus others inbetween. (inc filter)

Many independant garages use Millers, what do you think from real world experiance ??

Thanks, I really do appreciate this but don't throw rocks at me for asking !! :¬)

Fuchs here in a 3.6 and a TD5 defender, my old man used it allot in big commercial & marine engines and really rated the company etc. It’s changed every 8k but no problems, I buy it in big containers enough for a few services.

The stuff thats cheaper (not cheapest !) and many garages seem to favour. As I thought though, everyone has thier preferences...

Thanks for the feedback folks, it really helps. If there had been a unison cry of "use bloggins oils!" then I'd have gone with the common concent, likewise no one said "avoid bloggins oils at all costs!" I'll be using the middle of the road suggestions and changing it every 6k or so. Once I've done the first vacuum change it should be a doddle after that :¬)

If you join the Opie newsletter/email you'll be advised when they have 10-15-20% offers which can be a very good saving.
