Ahh after thinking about it.

Does one part sit on the wing and one part sits in the bonnet?

So that when the bonnet closes they meet up? Regards

Not mounted on the bonnet. They're mounted so that the bonnet closes onto them when it shuts, if that helps. sure that mine are one part, not two (maybe there's a bit missing!). Drives:

Right I went out to car and had a look lol.

So part 1 is tucked up underneath the bonnet. Part 2 is sat on the wing and when the bonnet shuts they meet / match up.

Anyone tell me are they stuck / glued in place or just sat there?

They are in good nick. Mine were in tatters and soaking.
Pulled them off and ditched them. Glued onto the bodywork.

Just been out to check.

The previous owner had very thoughtfully removed them and slathered the bonnet hinges in a good coat of grease. Smile

I would never have known that something had been there, and will not be replacing them.

Did they make this part for a 2008?

Hi there

I thought this also existed for a 2008 mY - does anyone know if this is true?

Im having wind noise problems and I thought there was one at one point.

Any ideas on part numbers

Not sure they were on early models.
There's an upper that attaches to bonnet & lower attaches to wing. Prices are approximate from a previous post.

Lower part

LR031810 £14.00

Upper part

LR023472 £14.00

There's a few threads about these.

The sticky fitting pads also retain water really efficiently even before the main foam cracks. I have new LR ones on there and it's pretty much always wet.
