Mine have disintegrated too. I guess they are part of the sound insulation. If the parts low cost it makes sense to replace them. |

they come in two parts per side, called insulators...

Replaced twice under warranty, third ones have now disintegrated. They soak up water badly. |

They are a water trap and can cause corrosion! They are also behind the bumpers and in the chassis recesses! All ready to rot the panels out in years to come! |

I find the ones on my car soak up water really well! Sorry, couldn't resist, IKWYM. Anyway, they are a poor piece of design, and if Craig says they aren't needed, that'll do for me. If anyone can specify exactly where else they appear on the car (L322 in my case) that would be most helpful. |

Likewise, mine are falling apart and although I have the replacements, I can't see the point in fitting them if they'll just do the same again.

First run on A3/M27 without them today and I could not hear any difference.
