This is my point why is my IID tool saying that the cylinder at back of engine is Cyl 5 then when it is Cyl 6 is it a possible wiring loom fault that I have Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack

On my Mercedes S Class I was a bit confused as well it turned it was the firing order.

Yeah I understand that the firing orders etc but surely it would have them all mixed up then it just seems very odd that it is seeing CYL 6 as CYL 5 and when I pull all the connections to the injectors and leave CYL 6 purposely connected I still get a fault code that CYL 6 has been disconnected!! So basically as Pat says the IID is not set up correctly as per Land Rover Cylinder sequence so how can you possibly use this tool to diagnose a specific problem if it is not set up to read the Cylinders in the correct order! Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack
