I don't think the iiD tool is sorted yet for the 17MY unfortunately. Possibly couldn't trust myself with one anyway. Bound to screw it completely. |

Can't give you a black and white answer on this one. It won't be wasted, a full regen will take the soot down to maybe 2g. So if it's coming down and you have to abort you won't loose what it's burnt; if it's burning and gets to 10g and you stop, you're finished at 10g, just not 2g so you're better off. The ECU won't trigger another until 17g so you won't really be able to resume because the ECU thinks you don't need one. You'll just need another sooner, like in a week or two. . Well Herr SpitfireS, I think you've just found tool that will remove a RED DPF warning! Congratulations and thank you! ![]() ![]() Only thing I'd add which Mike has summarised very well is that you should check your soot level - which the lack of Amber suggests is fine. Should be 3-5g maybe less after a successful regen. The IIDTool does not have this feature which is a shame and if a few of us lobby GAP maybe they will reconsider. I've asked Pat and he said they considered it but decided not to add. Maybe from a liability POV they are worried people may clear the warning but not actually go immediately on a Regen run which you did do Spitfire. I imagine somebody could easily FUBAR their DPF and maybe more if they cleared a RED and didn't regen immediately. BP Ultimate is obviously good fuel with cleaning agents included but it would not be as powerful as specialist additive.
