I am playing with using my iPad mini as a Sat Nav (either using Google maps or Waze) at present, but I have also been reading that I can set up a second app using “split screen”.

The Google Maps as a sat nav works well, certainly better than the 2010 maps on my car, but being able to watch the soot level changing as it does a passive regen on a local test run looks promising.

how come the map is overlaid on the gap info and not on a separate screen? |

If you wish to go to "split screen" rather than in the "slide over" mode you have at the moment you just need to put your finger on the small grey bar at the top centre of the "slide over" and move your finger down the screen. The "slide over"

Can see the Anthorn masts about a mile along the coast.
