Mike
Slight side question Whistle
Which live values do you select for monitoring DPF regen? I see one is non continuous soot mass...what are others?
Thanks Thumbs Up

Good morning Rob,
In live values...
If you monitor the exhaust temperatures, whilst watching the soot level., whilst driving at 50/60 mph you will see both changing.
Passive regens are “gentle “ and the temps reach say 250c as the soot level falls .
If however your soot level is in excess of 17.5g and you meet the other criteria of needing an Active regen, then you will see a much more “aggressive “ change in temperatures and soot levels.
I watched mine a couple of weeks ago on a motorway run change from a soot level of 19.5g down to 2.4g, at which point the exhaust temperatures peaked at over 620c.
However, be aware...
As the Government says.. be aware... it comes with a health warning Rolling with laughter
It becomes very addictive and I can’t stop monitoring one every time I go on a decent run, hence why I am trying to combine the 2 screens of iidApp and Sat nav.
My ideal solution would be Google maps in majority of the screen and a postage stamp size icon in the corner which when touched opened up to show the live values.
Time will tell , but my iPad screen is infinitely better than the outdated factory Nav.

Mike.

If you have google maps on the screen first and then open the iid app from the dock at the bottom of the screen and position it on the right hand side of the screen you can hide the iid info by placing your finger on the left side of the info panel and swiping right. You will then have full screen map.
To reinstate iid panel simply swipe left from the rhs of the screen and it will reappear.
As far as I know there is no way of minimising the iid info panel, leaving it on the screen to allow reinstatement.

Interestingly it seems you can't use a split screen when using google maps only slide over mode, didn't know that.

Maybe try Waze?

Not sure if it will be better but different apps have varying compatibility with multi screen.

I'm flipping between the two at the moment;

I like Google maps but Waze has the little speed limit icon bottom left, which is super-helpful.

Google maps not so great on the iPad just because of the layout on the bigger screen.
Maybe Mike on the mini it's better than on my iPad Pro?

.
. Cheers, Greg

Thanks gents,
I am just catching up, have been out for a couple of hours...

1) I have tried the Waze free App as a stand alone Sat nav program, but I much prefer the clarity of the Google maps App.

2) No wonder I couldn’t get the split screen to work if Niceday can’t do it Rolling with laughter with Google maps.

3) The iPad mini I have rigged temporarily hinges down in front of the original screen, so is easily flipped up to reveal it if needed ., but I am convinced that the iPad is so much better it is worth me sticking with it a bit longer.

4) Could an App be written for the iPad to help ??

Sadly my iPad skills have been exhausted.
I had to settle for the slide over, as shown in the screenshots,.
I use mainly full screen Google maps , which I find much better than the factory fit sat Nav.
