I checked the wiring over the top of the fuel tank and it all seemed OK, unplugged and checked the wiring on the sensor end and couldn't see anything amiss...

I'd check the contacts carefully for damp / corrosion, with the cold/wet weather water might have got in there and caused the issues... |
