Hi All,

I've just started getting errors with Adaptive Dynamics locking out on my 2010 TDV8 - querying the faults shows errors with the right rear height sensor:

1. ADCM - Active Damping. C1A06-14 (AF) Rear right height sensor - general electrical failure - circuit short to ground or open.

If I query the values of the height sensor they read OK, values change up/down when the suspension is raised/lowered etc, which makes me think it might not be a height sensor issue...

He took it to LR who suggested the wires may be chafed over the top of the fuel tank - has anyone else had a similar issues and fixed it themselves? I know there are access panels under the back seats to get to the tank, but I'm not sure if that also gives access to these cables or not?

If not, how much of a hassle is it to drop the tank?

Randomusername did you ever solve the problem? Mines just come up with the same fault.

I checked the wiring over the top of the fuel tank and it all seemed OK, unplugged and checked the wiring on the sensor end and couldn't see anything amiss...

It would randomly come up with the error, I ordered a new sensor and then a few days it stopped doing it and didn't come up with the error again until I got rid of the car before Christmas.

If you can narrow it down to the sensor being faulty, I still have the unopened sensor somewhere which I need to sell!

I’ll have a look and check all the wires tomorrow. I’ll let you know tomorrow what I find.

I'd check the contacts carefully for damp / corrosion, with the cold/wet weather water might have got in there and caused the issues...
