I believe my 2007 3.6 has the Denso unit.

Even though I have fitted a new aerial and signal is much more reliable, it still looses the satellites when parked and off for any length of time. With the old aerial this would be an hour or days to get a connection. Now it is 10-15 mins.

This is clearly not right. 10-15 minutes of driving in a strange city could lead me into all sorts of inconveniences.

1) How long do other people's cars, with the same kind of Sat Nav, take to reconnect to the GPS? I.e. when the GPS Logo with the red line through it disappears.

2) Any idea why mine could be doing this ? Battery is good enough for the webasto heater, and generally shows about 12.4 v when off.

Mine is more or less instantaneous. Worth looking at the multi plug to see if there is any verdigris on the pins. When I acquired mine there was a problem with the gps which turned out to be down to that. John
