Hi all,
a while back I came across a thread with someone accessing a diagnostic screen for the sat nav on a L322.

Is this possible on the 2007 3.6?

I do know how to get to the hidden menu 753(edited) from the home screen, it is not that diagnostic screen I am looking for. The one I need is where you can monitor connectivity to the GPS satellites.

I've bought a cheap KAKRA antenna to test out as I suspect the aerial may have filed after a heavy handed LR technician took it off to repaint my roof. However, it would be good to see how the satellite connections come on line with the replacement aerial and the roof based ones. For almost six months it worked fine, then afer the paint work it used to take about an hour to connect, now it is even less reliable.

Any ideas on how to get to this screen?

try code 753 for the sat screen..

Mm.. I think I might have meant 753 not 357.

So does the 753 work from within the sat nav screen as well as the home screen? Sounds easy enough. Do I have tp hold my finger on the top of the screen for 5 seconds like I would do if accessing the diagnostics from the home?

I think they are the same diagnostic screens I am aware of. Alas, I haven't seen any sat nav diagnostics in those screens, but I did see in another thread a long time ago that someone has accessed a sat nav screen where they could see the status of the satellite connections - this is what i am trying to find.

no need for an apology at all, I really appreciate your help. Yes that was the thread Thanks.

From reading the thread it sounds like the satellite status screen is accessible by the 753. I haven't seen any satellite/gps status option on my 753 accessed from home screen by placing a finger in the middle top for 5 secs, then pressing the nav button 5 secs and then 753.

I dont suppose you know if this is the same diagnostic screen or is there another one and another way to get to the sat nav satellite status?

others on that linked thread seem to have found it so i'd have another look and see if you have missed it..

Nope, cannot see any sat nav diagnostics anywhere in the 753 screen. I'll take a pic and upload it a little later.

Well, I think it is probably a duff aerial causing my issues.

I had upto 5 satellites showing a "T" status meaning "Data is being received from an applicable satellite but is not being used for positioning" at one time, and eventually got three "P" status ("Data is being received from an applicable satellite and used for positioning. "). Signal levels never went about 22 which suggest poor reception, which suggests a compromised antenna.

£4 FAKRA GPS aerial ordered from the web to finally prove the theory one way or another, and then maybe back to LR dealer with a frowny upseide down face.
