Noticed some driveway spots and a slight burning smell. Underneath the rear of the pan has some oil on it and the suspension cross bar (?)

First thing to check is oil cooler - the case can crack or the gasket can go.

Thanks. Oil cooler and feed pipe look ok. Checked those earlier after removing pollen filter box.

Had similar with my TD6 - garage found small split in one of the diesel plastic fuel lines, and it was diesel dripping, not oil. |

Keep an eye on your coolant tank for signs of oil? |

i reckon its oil leaking from the oil cooler or turbo drain pipe and accumulating in the rear 'v' part of the engine..oil gets to much in there and drips down onto the exhaust and then the floor... |

Left it with them. I couldn’t see anything around the cooler when I took the pollen filter box off last night but to be honest it’s not easy to see anything in there with the intake manifold on etc

I have what I think is the same thing on a 2007 3.6TDV8. Oil on the bell housing left side and running down and along under left side of auto box.

cheezels that's really interesting. I've put UV dye in my oil and still couldn't find anything with the UV torch.
