Same for me, the bi-xenons on my old L322 were in a different class to the ones on my L405, one thing I really miss from the old RR. Steve

Looks great, how did you wire it in?

I have 2X 160W LED light bars I want to fit today. They come with very heavy gauge cable so I am a little concerned over how to wire them in without a controller or relay etc.

Wired it from a standard old school 4 pin relay sir... Thumbs Up

There is a large (ish) battery cable in the loom near the drivers headlamp. Thats where i got the 12v+ from Thumbs Up

I don't suppose you would mind doing some kind of guide?

I do have an automotive relay, did you wire it so the main beam triggers it? Or a separate switch inside the car etc.?

I see on Amazon they have the 433mhz remote looms, I was thinking to get this and then program it into my home link garage door opener to turn it on and off, only it states various modes including strobe lights (not fond of a mobile disco) Just a simple on and off is what I am looking for .

Thank you kindly

There are many guides of the net for wiring up relays sir. The only thing i added was a switch to the earth wire so i could turn it off when i didn't want it working every time i used full beam! Fog etc etc

See here...

As I have a LHD there may of course be differences in the wiring loom, but could you please provide me with a more specific point for a good +12V source for driving the lightbar? I have removed both air boxes and looked around but cannot see an obvious candidate.

Just to explain a little what a relay is/ does.
Most have 4 pins two of them are used for the low voltage draw from a new switch or an existing feed ie headlamp main beam, this side does not draw a large current so does not risk burning out the switch. The relay itself is an electronic switch so the other two terminals can then feed the appliance with current direct from the battery or a suitable fused supply. If you were to just wire a powerful set of lamps from a battery through a switch to the lamps you risk the switch overheating and causing a fire. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
