Windows fogging up from the inside

Morning folks

Now that the cold weather is settling in I can't seem to stop the internal windows from fogging up.

My climate is set to auto and the AC icon is lit up but it takes literally half an hours worth of driving to demist from the inside. I end up having to use the front windscreen heated button to assist.

Do you reckon that this behaviour is due to my air con gas being low?

One other observation is that when I set the climate to auto, the fan speed feels relatively high all through my hour long journey, not max but I'd say a pretty audible breeze which does not change speed at all whilst on auto.

you have moisture in there somewhere...could be wet coats , a leak by a door etc or the AC is leaking ..

i'd check the carpets for wetness first.

Thanks.

Also noticed that the rear side windows
(the ones in the boot area) do not react when I activate rear window demist from the driver control panel.

I got the same last night, but it was only the rear passenger and boot side windows. My settings were exactly as Kace's All LR cars from 1984

Is the setting that allows air in from outside on or recirculating? Allowing outside air in may help.

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

It is also worth cleaning the inside of the windows with something rough as they build up a residue of gunge, in the good old days I use to use fine wire wool with window cleaner, now I use magic ceramic sponge with window cleaner and then a micro fibre cloth. letters not necessarily in the right order

Check your pollen filter in the front isn't clogged up and restricting air throughput.

Has your windscreen been replaced (is it genuine LR)?

Think that’s normal to some extent, if it’s damp. You get inside with wet clothes etc and it all goes to make the car steam up.

Mines the same. Generally have to use the heated screen to help first thing in the morning.
