Swopped out the cam cover gaskets found a coolant leak, replace air and pollen filters darkness stopped play engine oil and filter tomorrow stat mod left to do. Happy days don't trust your mechanic remember I bought this car as spares and repair original owner broke down on the m25 with low coolant warning topped it up broke down again got recovered home his mechanic who has been servicing the car for 3 years diags head gasket failure. If the mechanic who had previously nipped up the cam cover bolts on a service a year ago had done the job properly he would have found the Coolant leak in the 1st place.

I'm very happy so far Very Happy Very Happy

Removed and replaced injector copper washer on cylinder 8 due to blowing by! Wasnt as bad as i imagined, injector would not budge, cracked the bolts off and started it up, gave it some revs until it got louder and louder then managed to wiggle it out! Recut the seat and fitted new washer , ran it up for 10minutes and retightened bolts then rebuilt. Someone has already been there as injectors have been numbered with tippex! 2004 td6 l322 - gone

Oil and filter as 7k since last change. Would the designer who added the extra sump nut under the cross member on the TdV8 3.6 please have the guts to own up and tell me WHY there and why so %$%& to get at ?

After 18 months of a blank instrument cluster, managed to get it sent off this week and repaired. Refitted today and can now see I've done a lot more miles than I thought I had. Now on to the brakes.... David

I fitted new arms & lower ball joint to my N/S/F suspension, going to do other side tomorrow.

Coincidence ! with the help of a good friend and mechanic, did both sides yesterday.Had to resort to fire to heat the bit where the new ball joint ' just slides in " in order to get the old ones out. Who would belive that corrosion was such a good glue. Wished they'd inc new bolts with the ball joints though as they where in pretty poor shape by the time they where removed .

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

So it was my Daughters 27th birthday and as a surprise we booked Disneyland Paris for the weekend. We drove from home at 4:00am and got the Eurotunnel across the channel. All very nice in a FF tbh and then I got a warning that my OSR tyre was low. I pulled over to put some air in and discovered I had a puncture. Took me about 20 mins to swap the wheel but couldn't see anything which may have caused it. Today having returned after an incredibly expensive and wet weekend I was told it was fatal. A new tyre is needed just to add some further expense to the mouse weekend.
I must say I'm now no longer interested in queueing for an hour for a two minute ride or buying four burger and chips with extra onion rings for £100. I have donated far too much to the little rodent over the years and it has come to an end.
Very impressed with the FF and the TPMS. Thumbs Up

Applied more sikaflex to drivers side inlet manifold today. After probably 6k relativaly trouble free miles apart from a precautionary battery change due to baby being due... saturday evening rushing the other half to hospital in labour a sudden 'bong' and engine system fault ... calmly pulled over and restarted engine and all appeared normal until hitting 2500 rpm then a noticeable loss of power under load so used the gearbox in manual to keep the engine under minimal load and managed to limp half an hour to the hospital! Dont know what was more scary, birth of my first child or how much the repair would be! Baby boy born 1.56am nice and healthy 7lb 10z and then checking the manifold finding the crack and the relief! Funny thing is i have a new manifold ready to fit since last time just havent got around to fitting it!! 2004 td6 l322 - gone
