I expect the dimmer to be generating a PWM signal varying the ON time rather than being a variable resistor.

Thanks, but I suspect a 2012 is probably significantly different to a 2005 year.

If your dimmer control is in the light switch then my guess is that it will not have changed. The dimmer fitted to 1999 D2s were pwm controlled and IIRC D1's were too. |

A tinted ipad screen protector would probably be an answer if such a thing existed??

Just a point, would the touch screen still operate ok with the additional cover?.
