Can anyone tell me the difference between standard climate control and optional 4 zone climate control?

4 zone is as it says really....each side of rear passenger area can be set different. Standard is just 2 zone, passenger side and drivers side. If passenger behind driver wants it hot, and drivers has set cold, they are out of luck. With 4 zone they can choose their individual temp.

There is an extra air con pump or something in the rear and if you have the air con regaled, you will need more putting in if it has 4 zone. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Thank you for your detailed reply. Do I assume the front controls stay the same, the difference being the extra rear controls?

Yeah, there are 3 control knobs on the back of the centre console in the rear, instead of just 2. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I have a LINN hi fi in the house, but I listen to more music in the car....

On topic....I recon it’s easier to swap cars sometimes than rip it all apart and try and redo what the factory did.

sorry to stray back to the merits of HD audio, I was driving with the HD cranked the other day and I noticed my jean leg was moving from the air being pumped by the lower door speaker.

It is unbelievable.

Probably should turn it down a bit though.

Ok back to 4-zone climate....
