Nino & dolph34,
I am taking mine for MOT on Monday, then intend to replace battery because I seem to be getting the low battery warning more and want to change it before it lets me down.
I think I will put the new battery on charge with my CTEK before resetting the BCM with my iid.
Thoughts??

Hi Nino, I'm still hoping others report back with thier IID results. If i read the ' intelligent ' alternator stuff correctly , the alternator does not send 14.4(ish) volts to the battery unless you are decelerating or the battery is low. My RR battery is currently ( lol) on 86 % , which is slightly higher than the 80% that the Land Rover literature says it should be. So my thinking is , when we got the new batteries they were 100% charged so the IID tool reading reflected that , as we drove the alternators ecu let the batteries stored capacity reduce to 80(ish)% and hence our readings now.

This morning I checked again and my battery was on 82%, on the journey the battery voltage remained around 13.1 and increased to 13.8 in acceleration and 14.4V on deceleration and that's exactly what the Land Rover literature says it should do. In arrival at work battery stored voltage had increased to 86%.

However , if a few more of the kind people on this forum could check their lives values for battery voltage and alternator amps during a drive we may get a better idea.

Hi Nino, i dont think they said there is an issue, i think they meant the alternator has the ability to lower the charge if it determines the need to. Thats my reading of GAPS response. 2015 4.4 AB

love your enthusiasm delp34 Thumbs Up , you and me we'll just have to keep an eye on things. and if I was in Mike's place I would stay away from resetting.

Hi Nino, I was going to suggest to Mike that could monitor his charge rate now and see how its working once he get the untested values on his IID tool. If his also reads similar values than maybe we have an answer ? 2015 4.4 AB

I believe that is exactly what Maki was going to do and after battery change falow values without reset- that way we can compare the values. maybe there is a silver lining after all.
I just did my IIDTool update and no untested values Big Cry

Nino,
