Ireland 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

Lol, i think Nino and myself got the sporty , lightweight versions , these were black and came with no fan and less air in the tyres and I believe ( rumours that a LR top brass person let it slip ) were only sold and will only be sold to drivers of a certain ability. No aspersions on any member on here or indeed throughout the FFRR world BUT these special cars are not for the average Joe. I also heard that the LR Range Rover spectrum of cars are sold according to ability, hence Evoques can be bought by anyone becuase its not really a Range Rover, Sports fall into the same category but you need to have more cash but not social status ( obviously) , the FFRR is only sold to a certain calibre but obviously cash talks and some are able to side step the rules. The special lightweight one ( Nino, myself) are strictly sold to only those the deserve them. The world isn't fair but special people should be treated better , thank you LR. Thumbs Up 2015 4.4 AB

One week on from changing my battery.

Engine off readings.

I can see no reason at this stage to tell the car it has a new battery by doing a reset.
I will check again in a couple of weeks, but everything seems fine to me. Thumbs Up

Interesting Mike , at rest mine is 12.6v but with engine on its only 13.2v at tick over and rises to 13.8v over 1400 revs and on deceleration rises to 14.4v. Reading the literature this is how the 2011 is supposed to work and the battery is kept at 80% charged. Mine is at 82% charged all the time and if I charge it by mains charger it starts at 100% and drops to 82% over a few days. Yours at 70% seems low but its a new battery so it can't be.

Seems these 2011 FFRRs and their AGM batteries are a bit of a black art. 2015 4.4 AB

John,
It’s 77% charge, down from 81% last time I checked it, but it might be my fault.
Sat too long with door open playing with iid with engine off., plus I have done a lot of stop start short journeys this week.

I am off to the Lakes for 3days next week so that will be 200+ motorway miles plus several planned trips so I will re- check when I return.

In truth the only main difference I have noticed since changing is the extra loud clunk from the central locking compared to the previous dull thud.

I didn't drive the FFRR all week due to nice weather ( used bike) except for two trips of less than 3 miles each. Sitting outside shopping centre waiting for youngest and just looked and

A very interesting topic.

Having just had my battery replaced, and the monitoring system not reset. I’m wondering if the rest does more harm than good and wether I should go ahead with it.

On a related matter does anyone have a figure for the Vehicle Battery Current for a locked vehicle?

After sitting in mine locked, for about 15 minutes it was alternating between -2 and -3 Amps. Which seem high to me.
