Maybe worth checking that the selector cable clamp bolt isn’t seized, through corrosion, in its hole in the lever

well its got worse.. off to Austrin Gearbox Specialists today for diagnostics.. Any good rebuilders as memebers??

well they have checked it over, lubed the trans cable, checked oil.and road tested. Not losing drive?? so hopefully fixed. other than that no fault codes so try it for a week see how it goes?? |

For what it's worth I've used austrin before and they really seem to know their stuff diagnosed the transfer box fault in mine when I'd previously been told by another so called idependent they 99.9 % certain the transmission noise was the front diff and quoted £2300 for the repair , I wonder what they would have done when I picked it up and it still had the same noise Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY. |
