Yeah, the silly thing is that the FBH ECU, which is what went bad here, is not even actually an integral part of the FBH (they used to be completely separate about 15 yrs ago). The ECU is very easily removable and replaceable. I know that shops specializing in FBH, such as Bosch service centers here on the mainland, do this regularly. The problem is that LR is not a shop specializing in FBH's - and they see the FBH as a unit rather than as a repairable sum of parts.
