My friend has been having trouble with his 4.4 petrol range rover, its been in the garage a couple of times now and they cant seem to fix it. I asked for details to post here to see if you guys can help with any ideas, known 4.4 petrol engines issues etc.

text message i recevied today;

"had new alternator and lamber sensor's, dunno what fault code is but engine light comes on and it drives like s**t, makes noise like there's a bag of nails under drivers seat or goes into limp mode. its running like a sick pig, f**kin motors i hate them"

Has he checked the PCV system? They dont like vaccuum leaks...
