thats not an OE size so trial and error..i would start at 34 psi. |

yeah, its easy for OE tyres as its on the sticker inside the door jamb on most cars

I use lower pressures in Winter Conditions and higher when on high speed motorway work. The Door Jam Pressures are only there to ensure LR do not get sued and are bit on the high side IMHO. |

Because the transmission is designed to allow a certain amount of slippage. If you've changed the rolling radius of the tyres (specifically the front rather than the rear or vise-versa) then one axle's wheels will be travelling faster than the other. The same principle applies left to right and can cause front/rear diff failure quite quickly too. This is why the fronts are X and the rears are Y rather than the same all round. Also why different pressures are given for different loadings as this also changes the rolling radius. In the L322 incorrect front/rear pressures usually manifests itself as vibration felt at speed, similar to wheels being out of balance. The Workshop Manual also makes speciffic reference to the tyres being at the correct pressures to maintain correct operation of the EAS. |

My advice: get a nice set of OE LR 20" alloys and Tyres and then you can refer to the sticker on the OSF door pillar for pressures and bonus feature, it won't screw up your transmission and you won't look blinged but cool. Discovery 4 HSE
