This was last night but think some of you might enjoy it , myself and my eldest daughter had gone for a coffee and were pulling out of garden centre carpark when a nova or some such ( bright orange ) came flying up behind me ( road was clear as i pulled out ) , anyway I, like most men , i fancy myself as a bit of a ' pilot ' and as we approached the upcoming roundabout i decided to pass my breaking point , wait another 50 feet and brake, road was wet and very quiet traffic wise, RR got a bit of a front end slide once off the brakesand turning in but nothing dramatic but Nova man went very wide , we then crossed over the motorway, here I floored it and on to the next roundabout to take us back onto the southbound motorway , we left nova man behind until once on the motorway we cruised along with nova man roaring past with himself and his 3 ' crew staring at the 'old lad 'who had left him behind !!! How I chuckled.

Dolph34, its a given that you're a pilot with an R1 and Gixer 1000 in the stable.

Oil and filer change... £20 for oil, £11.94 for filter plus Vat. Total £38.32. 9 thousand miles since last change. I belive you cant change it often enough on a TdV8 ! |

MOT today, 15,000 since the last one. Didnt realise it was that high but the miles just slip away when you are cosseted in your FFRR. Passed with no advisories. Phew ! |

Checked for oil leak turns out to be PAS fluid. New hoses will cure that.

Fitted new silicone top hoses to try and rid me of an increasingly regular “engine system fault”.
