Yes, they have promised me that, so will wait and see, and/or give them a call at lunchtime tomorrow to see if it's gone through.

Fingers crossed for you. What do I put here then?

Hmmm, there must be something else in your search as well then - I can see way more than 4 L322 5.0 S/C's?

Just looked again on a different PC and it's showing me a few more now. Strange, the only filter I could see previously was Land Rover > Range Rover > Engine Size > 5.0.

Shame it has gone, but there will be others and part of the fun of getting a new car is the searching!

Yes, only a minor annoyance like you say - I would prefer to sell the Defender first so I have somewhere to park the L322 anyway... I'm in no massive rush, but I'd happily buy the right car if it came along, and find somewhere for one of them to live short term!

I did check with Lookers today, and the finance did go through and the car was due for pickup.

I shall keep looking Smile[/quote]

I went to look at this one today, which seems to be reasonable age/mileage for the price? : https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201711101137613

Overall condition was excellent inside and out, full LR service history, recent Inspection 2 in the last few months, etc.

It drove beautifully, sounded good, and every button seemed to do what to was supposed to do!

My one slight concern was the outside of the seat bolsters seem slightly worn/discoloured, which I was surprised with only 64k miles. I forgot to take a proper picture, but is this the sort of thing that could be cleaned up with leather conditioner/restorer?

Easily fixed. If it ticks all other boxes I wouldn’t be concerned about that. ______________________________

Super, thank you for the feedback - will keep researching leather cleaners on here, and work out if I should buy it before I sell the Defender!

How to fix/ maintain. I’m larger than the average bear and would like to keep my seat puffed up firm and good looking..
I tend to be quite hard on them.
Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Buckingham Blue

Interesting thread. Just returned to the fold with an 07plate 4.2 S/C. I sold my 56plate 4.2 S/C about 4yrs ago to scratch the Defender 50th itch. Recently sold that to return to FFRR, I wish I never sold it. So glad to be back.

My apologies to @paulbrown22, having read through this thread, it appears I was the person who got to the Lookers one the other week! Sorry about that. Hope another comes up soon.

On your question about trim, I can confirm the bolster trim refresh is very easy in the right hands, Furniture Clinic used to do mobile technicians - I know a few TVRs who have used them with amazing results. Liquid Leather is also a good site for products and information. Aaron

Bill if the foam is compressed, you will need another foam. It should be good after that.

The surface condition can sometimes be fixed with aggressive cleaners, which almost always take colour with them. Otherwise a DIY kit from Furniture clinic who have matched RRV colours OR get someone (recommended) from your local area. ______________________________

Aaron - thanks for the leather advice, and great to see someone here got the Buckingham Blue 4.2 from Lookers, from what I saw it seemed to be in brilliant condition. I hope you are enjoying it now.

The guys at Prestige Cars where I looked at a 5.0 yesterday have actually offered a very good part ex against my Defender, so considering that now!

Nothing untoward that I could see - they took it as a part ex a couple of months ago against a Kahn Defender, started advertising at more like £28k, but didn't sell it at that price, and now want to move it on. It only came out the official dealer network as Approved Used 2 years ago, and has been serviced by main dealers or an independent London-based LR specialist in the ~15k miles it's covered since then, and just had a fresh MOT 4 days ago. All history looked good, and overall condition of the car inside, outside and underneath seemed excellent as well. We took it for a drive and it seemed perfect, the engine and gearbox seemed very healthy.

So much so that I've agreed a very good p/x on my Defender with them, a platinum warranty for 12 months, and will be picking up this S/C on Thursday evening!

Having only ever owned and driven Defenders since I was 16/17, this will be very different Smile.
