So - I'm currently sitting on the drive outside the house with the driver's door card removed. Put the replacement switch on but none of the windows would work! Put the old one back on and it will operate the rear windows up and down but fronts still inop. Checked everything I can see to check fuse and wiring-wise but nothing obviously wrong. Wondering if a battery disconnect with everything put back together first might be worth a try? L322 TDV8 4.4 - current

I take it you tried the hold it in up position for XX seconds, then down for xx seconds etc which is the reset for when they have locked

Have you tried using your remote to open the windows. Hold down the unlock button and all of the windows / sunroof should open. After that hold down the lock button to close them all again, this will at least let you know if the electrical circuit to the motors is ok.

Good news and bad - holding the unlock button down opened all the windows! Master switch pack raised the rears, psgr side raised the psgr side - but nothing will raise the driver's window!

So you used the up button on the driver window and held for 10 secs and then down for 10 secs (something like that. If the window is locked because it thinks something has been stuck in there. |

Do you have an IIDtool? If so I believe you can activate various things like the windows.. ______________________________

And now the battery is too flat to do anything! Can see this turning into one of those days - Domestic Zero not happy cos I've spent all day so far trying to sort it, she's just gone out with granddaughter in buggy, muttering something about going 'stir crazy ' being stuck in the house all day!

I have a feeling this is a knackered switchpack replaced with a dodgy one. Not much help I agree.

Well, the battery is disconnected and hooked up to the charger, I'll see how things go later this afternoon when it's fully charged. Gary at Newbury 4x4 saved my bacon yesterday afternoon, using his plug-I diagnostic to power the window up so at least I know the motor is OK - reckon it's either the replacement switch pack or a problem in the wiring in the door.

Problem sorted! The breaker's sent me a replacement switchpack, tested before they took it off the donor vehicle - and I now have front windows that go up at the touch of a button! 😀 L322 TDV8 4.4 - current
