Just got my first flashing service engine soon message. Iidtool says multiple misfire and misfire cylinder 8. Got me home but too cold 17 degrees F, F as in efing cold, to do anything today. Any first thoughts on what to look for? |

Hmmm. I have a quick disconnect installed. Perhaps the very cold days and warm engine has loosened the screw connection. I will check tomorrow. When I went out all was great. Left the store with a new phone and upon starting and backing out a funky hesitation and power steering was ratchety. Service light flashed before I had it in drive. |

when i was trying to start mine it would do a sort of half start and then stop and then it would start but with a cough or it would turn over for a lot longer than usual before starting.

So far i have swapped the #8 coil with #5 and then the plugs. No change. Still shows misfire on #8 but a couple of time #6 was added in. Haven't gotten to ohm out the fuel injector. Besides this anything I could be missing? |

Going to take a wild guess and say no but guessing you don’t have lpg? The log injectors go bad on these I have had experience of this in my ff... however if you don’t could it be a blocked injector? I have no idea though so that is just a wild guess now... Current stable:

What other codes are you getting and what diagnostic kit are you using ? have you cleared the faults and they return and is the EML light still coming on ?

Battery and charge good. Checked my quick disconnect but it was tight. I hope to ohm out the injector tomorrow and will inspect wiring then. Iidtool and yes codes return within 30 seconds or about. Obviously running rough. I hope it becomes obvious with a dead injector or a disconnected wire. I miss the old beast. |

I have a new coil for future reference and a reconditioned injector on the way. Meanwhile I put the automotive stethoscope to the injectors. All sound the same. So what does this leave me with?

Well I realized I have checked power to the coil yet. When the weather breaks this weekend I'll give it a check. |
