Bottom line is you need to get it in and have the codes read to see what is going on again but not much fun for you

+1 without the codes it could be anything from secondary fuel pump to crank position sensor and not related to changing the locks at all. John

guess what on 3rd of jan after taking down outside Christmas decs to go into storage I loaded range rover up with boxes to go to my storage . Later on early evening went to go shopping cant even get into car fob lights up but wont unlock ! They changed the ews just before Christmas so now awaiting a crane to lift and take to lookers and have a independent engineer do a report on the car as it keeps loseing all sync . BROKEN DOWN NOW 3 TIMES !!!! TBH I'm getting to the stage where because of all the problems that have been since garage replaced locks ,I just cant trust it anymore will deffo be selling it as soon as it comes back of course unless they write it off . My mechanic seems to think the garage that changed the locks in the first place has Censored up the bcu especially when the garage did not wait for electrics to power down in the first place will be close on 4 plus months all because of the keys being stolen. Think I will just buy a cheap car until later in the year then look at a 405 fingers crossed

Canada 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Santorini Black

Thats a terrible ordeal you have had. Insurance companies always send vehicles to terrible mechanics it seems that take months to repair anything. I had a 07 mercedes sprinter that someone backed into in 08, the insurance preferred body shop slopped a ton of bondo (body filler) on it and it was covered in overspray everywhere but after 3 month wait I just accepted it and cleaned up myself and sold it. I ran into moose with my 2010 sprinter and had it brought to mercedes to replace all the parts, $16,000 and they missed all sorts of parts that in the end I just bought myself. Then later on I noticed the turbo had broken fins but with a $16,000 claim against vehicle as it is a $5,000 turbo would make it a write off and I wouldn't be able to sell it, feel your pain.

Insurance companies are usually willing to pay any garage you want for a repair though and are usually very happy for you to take care of sourcing people to do repair and they just pay for it, big burden off them, they deal with customer complaints of botched work daily no-matter which garage the vehicle is sent to. They don't want you having this problem as much as you don't, its just a pain. I would suggest that you find a recommended specialist and email him very specific details of what has happened and ask if he would be willing to fix this and the steps he would take. I would forward his response to the insurance company along with expressing your desire to just be done with this problem. I'm sure they will gladly do this.

Good Luck

That’s not good to say the least
Why do you need a crane, can you not unlock the door with the key?

Cheers for replys car is park on road and they cant get it out so crane needed solicitor is on the case now and is going to reject repairs as 3 times is just not acceptable its getting silly as now have £700 in out of pocket expenses due to total lack of insurance company cock ups at least loan car this time is better a s max instead of a micra ! Just want it to end spend all day calling insurance company and printing emails etc be nice to be able to get on with working 😥

What a pain, tell them to take it to a main dealer, they will put it right and the cost is not your concern.
