FBH FUEL PUMP

hello chaps im asking for info my FF went for M.o.t yesterday passed too i might add but the tester said i have a very small diesel leak above the rear diff dropping on to the drive shaft and i looked under when i got home and i can see a small looking pump with a square plug 2 pipes one end is very rusty but the pump doeset pump it pulses if you will ! Am i right in thinking its the fuel pump for the FBH when it pulses you can just see the end of the pump next to the 12v plug weaping fuel are these expensive and easy to swap and will one off a x5 or similar work thanks

I swapped out my FBH pump about 6 weeks ago as it was leaking. They cost about £220 from Land Rover. In addition to the pump you will also need 2 hose clamps

It is pretty easy to swap if you are handy with the spanners and it can be done with the RR in off-road height, you don't need to take the wheels off.

Just unbolt the old pump, remove the pipes and electric connector. It is a little awkward as you need to work with you arms either side of the rear diff. Just the reverse to put it back on.

One of the ends came off my pump when I was changing it which made the job even easier 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Try Dan @ Duckworth, he was cheaper than my local dealer (Less than £200). Mine was leaking so badly I ended up having to buy it from my local dealer

Seem to remember the pump has 'Wabasto' stamped on it so probably is common to an X5, didn't think to check part numbers at the time 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Yep, just swap it out. They are self bleeding. It may need a couple of cycles to clear any air. No7 - 2003 V8 Vogue

Bumping this Thread to see if someone could take a photo of the FBH fuel pump assembly above the rear diff?

It's been removed on my car and I'd like to re-instate so, need to know how it all fits. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
