Has the starter relay been replaced? |

Just confirming, I'm referring to the relay in the fuse box, not the solenoid attached to and part of the starter motor itself. |

I'm having a similar problem, non starter at the moment although I've not tried 22 times. Disconnected the starter cable from the mega fuse and high resistance to earth when the solenoid is engaged. Resistance of the solenoid coil to earth from the start relay is 1.2 ohm which seems a bit high, measured a solenoid coil on a spare starter at 0.3 ohm. Perhaps it's the wiring between the the start relay and solenoid or a bad earth, not quite got that far yet. |

I posted this a few days ago and it worked for me. Now I always park with the steering centered and never happened since.

Can you not just put new contacts in the solenoid I have done loads of td5 discos and freelander 2s |
