Wheel stud thread is the same for all L322 ie M14x1.5mm.

the nut on the left has a smaller shank and is for wheels from 2002 to 2005..

the nut on the right has a 23mm shank and is used on 2005 onward wheels ,including RRS ones...

your 19'' wheels can be used with the smaller nuts but i would try the '2007' wheel nuts cos they will be ok if the wheels are later types.. ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan. I understand the difference in the nuts.

The nuts for my 20" wheels don't fit my 19" wheels - nuts too big!.

But the issue is just the nuts - if I use the earlier nuts and earlier wheels on my 2007 there shouldn't be an issue? At least that's what I thought until I read ITGUY's post - is he wrong?

the stud threads are the same so i cant see how he can be right...the only problem ,if there is one , would be your discs being to big... ... - .- -.

Right that's confused me

I have a 2003 L322 with 18" wheels , just bought a set of 19" wheels from a 2010 L322

My nuts are black , do I need the bigger nuts or will the black ones fit, it's cold outside so I don't want to change them to find out I don't have the correct nuts

Just a quick one I am looking at some aftermarket hawke alloys with the black studs be ok or do I need silver? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

Here is the lug looks flat at the base so should black be ok?

I would think if they are Hawke wheels they would take 06> nuts NOT the pre <06 black nuts... Hawke have only been around a short (ish) time so i wouldn’t think they would have made wheels pre the 06 uplift...

Is there a way to see if they would fit aren’t they the same size lengthwise just tapered? In which case if the wheels are flat and wide enough both would fit? Or am I missing something? Current stable:
