I can't see why the taper is present on the chrome one or the purpose of it (unless the 7 spoke alloys are thicker). Doesn't the nut pull tight against the washer? If so, they look like they are both the same depth to the washer. The tapered section effectively passes right through the wheel holes. From the pic, it looks like the chrome one is slightly longer due to the taper, so wouldn't the tapered section come into contact with the hubs first, which would then tighten before the washer has started to seat, making the rim loose? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |

Its not the length that matters it's the girth...sorry just being smutty. The silver ones are about 3mm wider to fit all post2006 wheels. Expect Ken will be along soon to put you all right but this topic has been covered before.

So, if I want set of locking wheel nuts, I just ask for post 06 ones then? I have the wheel nuts with the 7 spokes, but 2 lockers are missing. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |

Not sure what nuts I have here, but they won't touch my studs. Smaller internal diameter on the chrome ones 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded |
