One touch window closing

I recently fitted a new battery to find I had lost one touch open and close on all windows. Fixed the one touch open by depressing and holding the button down. But I can’t seem to reset the one touch close. Any ideas?

Maybe wrong but , think you have to press and hold the button down and hold for approx 1 second when fully down and then the same again for fully up. That should reset the one touch window open/close function.

Pulling up the switch to reset has not worked. I had an Indy do the IID reset for the new battery install, could he have accidentally ticked a box to turn off the one touch window close?

Mine doesn't work on one window, rear offside, takes four button presses to open or close it. I've tried all the various fixes (like holding the button at the end of travel) but nothing seems to work. The Window doesn't seem to stick either but just keeps stopping at the same places every time. Geoff

My front passenger window does the same bloody thing.

Would love to know how to fix it.

Going to try button holding tomorrow. Whether it works is another question entirely

you may try putin something in thru the open window-like rolled up newspaper- so that window glass hits it going up and automatically retracts back down. it workt on my td5.

I did exactly as above, but no success. All four windows have the same problem. All were okay before the new battery.

I have just removed my battery as a reset. As soon as that happens the auto up/down feature stops working.

With the windows fully closed I start with the driver window, open all the way down to the physical stop, and then release the button completely.
Then once again hold the button down (all the way down) for a second or two.
During this period you will hear a soft dampened click sound from deep within your door, this is the window auto stop relay registering auto down.

Then wind your window up to the top, it will not go to the top automatically yet. Once it bumps at the top, ie fully closed, release the button completely, then again pull all the way up on the button for a second or two, you will hear the door click sound once again, its soft, but its there.

If it has not clicked, you are either releasing too quickly or only activating the window wind switch partially up or down in its full movement, remember the window switches have 2 detent positions per up or down stroke

Now you have auto up & down on the drivers window, repeat the exact same procedure for all the other windows, one at a time, from the drivers main window control panel, not the individual controls on each door, however each door will physically "click" as each door has its own window control module.

Good luck..
