Forward allert not avalible. Any thoughts

Hi all, I have had my 2010 vogue se for 18months now without the slightest fault, driving along today and forward allert not avalible cam up followed by all the other messages.
I pulled over, switched off and on again and all was fine for the rest of my 200mile trip.
Now when I start the ff it comes up with the message, then goes out after 2 seconds, when I check for faults in the info center there is no fault there. Any ideas ? Thanks Dave

The radar unit is behind bumper, below the right headlight.

What were all the other messages?

GraemeS,
All the usual ones, hdc,abs ect but no restricted performance.
None of the other faults come up on starting just the forward allert not avalible.
Thanks Dave,
I will check the sensor and let you know

Forward alert not being enabled will be due to the ABS faults, not a fault with the radar unit.

You wont access the radar unit without removing the bumper.

I remember reading somewhere in the WM that the forward alert distance is adjustable, but can’t find it at the moment. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

Forward alert distance (actually time interval) is adjusted by holding the ACC +/- buttons whilst ACC is not enabled, but nothing to do with not being available. However perhaps Forward Alert needs to be re-enabled via the instrument cluster option if the ABS fault turned off the option.
