Is my full fat a Euro4 car?

Silly question, but with the impending T charge coming in, it appears I need at least a Euro4 car to avoid it. Cars registered from Jan 05 appear to be euro4, but mine was registered in Dec 04 although it is a 2005 MY.

Is there a way of finding out what Euro mine meets?

It's a TD6.

Yeah, I tried that and it can't find my car. It says there are three possibilities. 1 it was registered after 2015, 2 it is not registered with the DVLA, 3 it isn't registered in the UK

Well it wasn't, it is and it is.

Looks like their system is rather flaky, but maybe I can drive into London without worrying, if their system can't find it. Maybe I can get away with the congestion charge too Very Happy

The silly things is, if you have a euro3 car you will have to pay. If you have an old smoker from 1975 your vehicle is exempt! RR History

Just to update this topic, in case anyone else stumbles across it with the same question:

The 3.0 litre TD6 is a Euro 3 engine and therefore subject to the T charge.
The 3.6 litre TDV8 is a Euro 4 engine and therefore, currently, not subject to the T charge. I say currently, as I suspect the T charge to gradually roll forward, so if you are looking at this in the future, check what Euro is needed to be free of the T charge. RR History

Quite a bit on the topic here:
http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic42354-15.html

After the T-charge comes the ULEZ in April 2019. ULEZ requires Euro 5

I saw my first electric black cab today. Black cabs spew out black smoke, so i'll be keen to see them go cleaner.

. Cheers, Greg
