Looks really good, Lounge - do you have a link or at least a name for the paint you bought?

Hi Guys, the product is a local Australian product, but I'm sure you would have something similar in the UK. This stuff is a vinyl paint, but it is suitable to use on some plastics without a primer as I have done.

In the UK you can either use Plasticote Matte Black or Plastidip black spray.

I found white spirit was quite good at removing the rubber paint finish.

I've just left the parts that were black and naturally black under the coating natural black. Some plastic protective spray and its good for me. I don't know what the original coating was or what BMW/RR was thinking with that crap. |

I'll have a look. Thanks for that as I thought I might struggle and was looking for replacement trims. |

It appears white spirit is what we, in Oz, call mineral turpentine. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_spirit Ron B. VK2OTC 2003 L322 V8 Auto 2007 Yamaha XJR1300 Previous: 1983, 1986 RRC; 1995, 1996 P38A; 1995 Disco1; 1984 V8 County 110; Series IIA |
