I've wanted a RR since I was 8 and finally got a 2010 3.6 Vogue with 55k on the clock after I came into some money at the grand age of 51. Picked it up on Friday and drove it home from Yorkshire (non LR dealership) to Cambridgeshire with no problems at all other than I had no idea what half the stuff did Then last night while driving back home from a do in Berkshire well after midnight it issued all sorts of warnings and put me in Restricted Performance mode. Restarting the car seemed to cure it, but it happened again for a further 3 times until we finally got home. Google brought me here and to the fact that it was likely to be a split Turbo hose. Having inspected the hoses this morning, it does indeed look like that is the cause, so I am slightly relieved - I know very little about what happens when you put the pedal down and turn the steering wheel so this site has been a godsend already. Being a Bank Holiday weekend I can't get hold of the warranty company until Tuesday, and my local LR garage isn't open yet anyway, so I'm somewhat frustrated (and a little pee'd off). I feel it's tainted the arrival of my dream car and although I know that these things can happen at any time, I wondered if it was likely that the hose would have shown deterioration in the pre-delivery checks (which includes hoses) that the dealer says they have done ? Thanks in advance Andy |

Don't worry, as the man says, 'never give up' and... Surely it could be worse

If you can't/won't wait to get new hoses, then duct-tape can be used to seal up the leak temporarily. |

Silicone rescue tape would be better, but I've read about duck tape working. ______________________________

The Harris pipe repair tape works perfectly in 3 layers, 1st a layer of reinforcing tape, then some self amalgamating tape and another layer of reinforcing tape.

Halfords don't do the Harris tape any more according to the chap in there (and their website) so I used the silicone fixxit tape.
