Hi team,

I need to run a cable into the upper tailgate to fit my rear dashcam.

I think there are two gaiters / bellows which I'll need to get it through but any tips on how to get the trim off either side would be greatly appreciated.

stick the dashcam on the tailgate glass and then tuck the cable into the tailgate trim...leave a bit extra loose so when you open the tailgate it wont stretch... ... - .- -.

The easiest way would be to pull out the upper end of the gaiter from the body , feed the cable through from the open end down into the tailgate, poke a length of cable into the space above the roof headlining and the refit the gaiter. The gaiter fits just like a grommet. You can then fish for the length of cable you poked into the headlining with a length of wire or similar with with the end formed into a hook. Simples

stan: yes your technique is good to tuck it in. But I need to get it from the hinged door, through the gaiter (like the other cables) and into the main car body. Do you have a rear cam? If so how do you get your cable to cross the hinged door to the fixed main body?
