You know when you think I have just typed something stupid - a temp sensor obviously measure temperature !

I replaced mine in far less than 5 hours only to have the new one throw the same fault within a few weeks. From other reports it appears that the fault can be ignored. I didn't notice any difference when the new sensor was new. |

Hi, I had a fault with EGR sensor, fault code P0486-17 (27) Exhaust gas recirculation sensor B circuit - General electrical failure - circuit voltage above threshold

What lead you from that error code to a throttle body replacement...? Mine has the same code also.. |

That sensor not working will stop the DPF regenerating on the car.
