Front door card won't come off.

I am trying to replace the drivers exterior door handle cable on a 2006 MY. I have looked at RAVE and got as far as releasing all the edges of the door card but something still seems to holding it on somewhere behind the interior door pull. I have definitely removed the large screw next to the interior catch. I have given it a firm tug but it doesn't want to move.

Any ideas?

Glen.

I seem to remember a big nasty clip in the middle of the door, which required a mighty tug, but this might the the rear one. I found it easier with the window down. .

Joe,

There was, indeed, a large clip in the centre of mine which eventually came free when I gave it a really good tug upwards.

Turns out that my cable wasn't broken, the outer had just come unclipped at the exterior handle end but I fitted the new one anyway.

Getting the card back on was a pain, eventually realised that the window seal had to clip on first but it was still rather tricky to get in place. Unfortunately the plastic lip next to the window/mirror switches cracked slightly when the card came off, so that clip is not holding particularly well.

Glen.

I've had both of mines off countless times and it's always been a pain refitting and getting it to fit as it was. I had excact the same issue with the window strips. I ended up buying a load of those yellow popper clips and replaced them as they go flimsy. Door cards sit perfect now..

Mine are mostly white clips, except for one black one just below the mirror which broke up. That coupled with the cracked lip near the window switches has left it less than 100%. I will have another go at fitting it with some new clips and maybe try to glue the cracked plastic.

Is there a website where I can look up the clip part numbers?

The videos of removal make me laugh, it really isn't quite as easy as they would have you believe.

Eyc000360 is the part number for the clips. 👍

Thanks. Are they all the same? I seem to have one different on near the mirror.

I have the same. I haven't touched that one tbh.im sure the other ones are used in all l322's. Mines had crumbled and there was no way they could hold the door card on tightly...
