does your engine not have a timing chain? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Sorry yes timing chain, think they're recommended for change at around 105,000 miles. I'm on 83k at the minute and would likely hit 100k in the next 12 months. |

Forget it! A chain should never really go wrong, maybe the tensioner eventually. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

I suspect the belt change interval is for the accessory belts. |

Mine split last year whilst on holiday in France. Had to get a replacement fitted at the LR dealer in Nantes |

No cam belt, only belts are the 2 aux belts at the front. As said at some point the chain tensioner might need changing but I doubt that would be anything like 100k more like 200k.

Update is that it is one of the 4 rubber boots that has split, unfortunately not covered by my warranty but about £100 for the 4 boots and £150 in labour. So it could've been worse.
