I've recently fitted 405 style 502 with 255/55R20s, no problems, immediately after fitting I did notice that the car was slightly higher, but this now feels normal. The steering is slightly slower than with the 255/50R20s, but that suits me as I am used to 19" wheels and 55 sidewalls in the winter and on my previous car. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

I've recently done the same thing, gone from 50 to 55 profile on 20's. I fitted grabber A/T3's and love them. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

No intrusive noise from the AT3s I presume? I'm keeping a look out for quieter and possibly slightly smaller tyres than my current 275/55R20 BFG KO2 although AT3 in 255/55R20 isn't currently available here . |

The A/T3's are fantastic! I have always had grabbers fitted on my cars and used all the various incarnations. The 3's are very quiet and handle superbly. They have various improvements over the 2's too!

Thanks for the feed-back. I note that the AT3 in 275/55R20 has a load index of 117 so might have stronger sidewalls than 255/55R20 although not necessarily so. Neither size is available here yet but my current tyres are only half worn so plenty of time for availability to change. |

Just changed my Scorpions from the 50 to the 55 Verdes and they look a lot larger/fuller and the ride is even better than when I had the car on 19s. I checked the speedo against my phones sat nav and it is bang on.

Can you have a 255/50/20 on the same axle as a 255/55/20 ?
