Follow me home lights

Heres the mystery no matter what settings I change using my IIDtool I don't seem to be able to get the FHM mode to work, there are lots of options but have tried so many combos now and still no FMH.

Does anyone have a list of working promoters from there IID tool they could share with me please.

Trying to remember - I think you need the lights on auto then once you switch off the ignition you have to flash the headlights - something like that - I don't think there isn't an automatic function to do it every time - but I could be wrong.

Or are you already doing that sequence & still getting nothing ?

I have changed the setting in the IID tool to auto and then changes the change with switch to no, added in head lights and tail lights etc but nothing works.

Mines a 2006 SC if that helps.

Hi Lighthouse,

Mine is a 2006 AJ V8 non SC and I have modified my configuration to turn off the headlights and put on the fog lights and reversing lights.

All worked fine after updating with iiD tool.

I will check the CCF file setting for mine when I get home after work this evening for you and you can see what's different.

Ste

Lighthouse,
Sorry for the delay in checking this, can you believe I live in the desert and its been raining solid for a week.
Anyhow, a break in the clouds meant I could check it out last night, here are the settings in my CCF which is an MY06 4.4 V8 NON-supercharged variant, and it also DOES NOT have the AUTO option on the headlights. Manual only from the switch. It was built in 2005 so it must be one of the first of the face lifted versions.

DRL: None
Front fogs off if main beam on: No
Handbrake turns off DRLs: Yes
Main bean dim with DRL: Off
FMH cancel with lighting switch: Yes
FMH delay: 40 seconds
FMH Style: Manual
FMH front fog lamps: Yes
FMH front position lamps: No
FMH High beam headlamps: No
FMH License plate light: No
FMH Low Beam headlights: No
FMH Rear position lamps: No
FMH Reverse lamp: Yes
Key in ignition warning if doo is opened: Yes
Lights on warning: Yes

Followed by a whole load of stuff on Hot and Cold monitoring of the lamps which I wont list here unless there is something you are particularly interested in.

Hope that's of some assistance for you...

Fly lights work fm the LR or lights button on the keyfob.

Once enabled, you can press the button once for he front lights to come on and a second time (within 2 seconds) for the rear lights to come on.

just a thought, set the fmh delay to 40 seconds [etc] before setting which lights you want on and see if that works.. ... - .- -.
