Chaps - need a quick fix to get me on the road again v soon! Have had a air susp inactive message since the tyre boys jacked her up. Can't remember the fault but it was stg innocuous like pressure static. Cleared it a couple of times. All lights on both susp buttons on. Went to look at the compressor setup in rear well and took off this (is this the pressure relief valve is or the air intake valve?) anyhow took it off to see inside and clean and forgot to put it back on fully when starting up. Air rushed out of the system and the front is now on its bump stops. The compressor (which used to start when ignition came on) is now silent and doesn't run.

Question: how do I get the compressor to start up again? Will a battery reset achieve this? Is an OBD tool necessary?

Am out in the boondocs with no access to computer or IID etc but may be able to get to a LR indie some 6 miles away.

CAn I even drive it like this?

This sounds like a Faultmate or IID tool reset to me.

You may also find that the compressor shuts down due to overheating, if it's worn, once it actually starts again and you may have to have a few attempts at re-pressurising the system.

have you tried the lock to lock reset btw?
