2010 3.6TdV8

Hi all.
I have had the adaptive dynamics fault appear on this car all of a sudden and this locks out the terrain response control typically as driving to the alps in a few weeks!
IID shows two faults one of which I presume leads to the other.
1. ADCM - Active Damping. C1A06-14 (AF) Rear right height sensor - general electrical failure - circuit short to ground or open.
2. ATCM - Terrain Response. U043A-68 (6C) Invalid data received from the suspension control module B - Algorithm based failure - event information.

I have seen a lot of the adaptive dynamics faults bases around the front turret top wiring breaking but I assume if this was the case the error would be based on front solenoid or something?
If the error is as I have I assume it is the wiring to the height sensor? The actual height control is fine and goes up and down no problem and the live values on IID go up and down accordingly.
And then if it is the wires what is the difference between the 3 pin wiring and the 6? ie is it three wires that just split to 6 or is it actually 6? Have had a look with vehicle on ground and does look like some repair to loom has occurred previously just by the plug at the right rear sensor but access looks very tight. Not sure if you disconnect the plug that it will become any easier?!

I guess an easier question might be if anyone knows where the wiring from the sensor actually goes? Does it run parallel with the air line under the rear arch liner?
I am thinking if that's the case I could get the socket right out once off the height sensor to repair any dodgy joins and even check continuity. Anyone know where the wires actually terminate?

I've replaced both of my loom sections going into the strut tops. It's really obvious where the breaks occur. There is a rubber grommit on the inside of the strut top and if a wire is broken, it will be just around the entry point, would take 30 seconds to check, fixing it is dead easy as well, go and have a look, we'll be here...

I assume you are talking about the front strut tops? I checked those were OK before running the fault codes and they were OK anyway. The rear ones look fine from inside the boot.

My error is relating to the right hind height sensor wiring.

Sorry I dont know who Mikey is?! Not been on for a while as Td6 has been behaving itself for once and this is first problem TdV8 has had

For anyone interested the fault was chaffing of wires over the fuel tank apparently. i changed the rear height sensor to no effect and so left it at dealer while away playing in the snow

Sorry for bringing a old thread back to life, mines just come up with Thai wax to fault. Was it the wires going to the dampers that was damaged? Just that when you look on live values the height sensor is working.

Andyv8 not sure what a Thai Wax is? You may need another kind of forum for that!

is this for the front? very common fault if so, you have to check the wires leading to the dampers and yo will find a break. it's something you can repair yourself easily.

stupid iPhone it was ment to say with that exact fault.

No it’s saying rear left height sensor general electrical failure. Suspension works perfectly and when look at the live values the rear left sensor is changing voltage when the vehicle raises or lowers. It’s got me slightly confused as it says it’s not working but it is.

That's pretty much what mine was doing (on the other thread). From what I can tell there's two sensors in one unit - one is for adaptive dynamics, the other is vehicle height for the air suspension - which is what the IID tool displays as a live value...

My 2011 TDV8 suddenly came up with the adaptive dynamics fault
I checked all the wires as suggested, but all look and with a pull, feel good.
So i borrowed a friends code reader and it came up with U3000-01 control module, which didn't really help.
Then I took it to the Land rover specialist, who after taking £63.00 off me, told me exactly the same code -U3000-01 general electrical failure, on the Active damping control module. They checked the fuses and earth points and said they did not know what it could be as the module is giving data out. The suspension raises and lowers fine, the level stays level, the only trouble is the message on the dashboard and the now bumpy ride.
Has any one else had this issue? Any ideas where to start?

I have the same having renewed both front wiring repair kits my warnings are still coming on checked the rear wiring and they seem ok
