Yes you need to blank the vacuum pipe, that is whst operates the egr.

Thanks for that Greg, I just didn't want to throw up any errors since it's actually physically blanked already I though the operation of the valve wouldn't matter but if the consensus is to blank the vacuum then that's certainly not difficult to do.

You can just screw a brass woodscrew into the end of the vacuum pipe and cable tie it out of the way.

I would check to see if the vacuum hose is properly blocked or has a leak somewhere. It should not cause any issues if the EGR is removed and the hose capped. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Does yours come up since your blanked the egr? When you say that code always comes up. |

Did you just blank the exhaust side of the egr or fit a EGR delete unit. That code has something to do with airflow and linked with Maf settings according to the BMW forums 2007 TDV8 VSE

The egr was already blanked when I bought the car.

Yes, I read that and no it is not the cause as I replaced those hoses and it did not fix the problem. |
