White smoke indicates coolant. It could be through the EGR cooler. ______________________________

Thanks for the response but there is oil coming out of the nearside exhaust, its at indies now and he will be looking in the morning , iid tool had a few engine fault , one being manifild pressure low so i think a seal has gone and allowing oil into turbo. Have a price of 400 to get turbo reconditioned. 2015 4.4 AB

That's interesting. I have heard of it happening, but not on a RRV. It's a lot better for bits to flow into the exhaust than into the pots. I wonder why this happened. So i assume you are still rebuilding the turbos, as you would be replacing the impellers, surely. ______________________________

Hi, yes , both turbos being rebuilt tomorrow, car has 233000 kilometres on it so maybe wear and tear, car is remapped but i dont drive it that hard , i have a new oil feed pipe to be fitted as well. Typical , i was to view a 4.4 ab in clonmel yesterday. Last car i had was a 320 cls and i had for 6 years without a bulb blowning and the day i collected the FF it broke down costing over a grand to repair. Such is life 2015 4.4 AB

Just an update , turbos in for rebuild and second ( non broken ) turbo had a lot of carbon build up and oil seal / ring was weeping so rebuild was in order.

Was the carbon build up on the hot or cold side of the turbo? ______________________________
